Goodluck Sis…

My sister joins college today. Even though that was only her second choice and she’s doing a good job trying to adjust to it, I’m finding it a bit difficult to believe that she has joined college… that she’s no more a school kid. All the more difficult to believe is the fact that she had opted to join the hostel rather than commuting daily to and from the college.

I still think of her as a little kid and the seven year difference between us makes me think so especially. We never fight (except for annoying our Mom) though several self-proclaimed psychologists think that it is not a sign of a healthy relationship. I ignore them. Although several of my female friends have urged me to stop treating my sister like a child because according to them I’m refusing to allow her to grow up. I find some reason in this argument but not enough to stop pampering her.

She has opted Chemistry as her main subject as she’s good in it and is thinking of doing research afterwards, at least that was the plan the last time I talked to her. Today, she goes to the same city that I lived during my college days but not the same college. I hope she will continue her studies with the same vigor and interest and use the academic atmosphere of Assumption College Changanacherry, to the fullest. I wish her luck.

  1. Good luck to Aparna. Never stop pampering your sister for the seven year’s difference between you both remains the same always..
