Morning at home, after
a tiring journey…
The smell of new books
Dad had kept on my table.
All grammar and theory
nothing I can read and forget.
The windows that would
let the countless chirps of
birds inside
heralding the arrival of morning
wake me up at 6 A.M.
Cussing but happy inside.
The terrace when opened
had a carpet made of
dead leaves
reaching up to my ankles!
I swept them aside.
My morning’s work…
Watching my Mom cooking
breakfast
Stories from her school,
and mine, and her students.
Listening to the old songs Dad
plays while he gets ready.
Here it goes.
One more vacation begins.
routine-less, vague,
lazy, idiotic and a lot more.
I shall never leave and
I shall never leave.

Enjoy to the fullest Manu! Nothing’s more blissful than mom’s handmade food and the satisfactory feeling that only home brings. Hope you never have to leave here!

I hope too.. but I booked my return-ticket today. How ironic is that? But, I still have 13 more days to go.
Oh! Well! Then I hope you do come back again soon and this time never leave!
Enjoy the sweet 13 days!
