The Old pastels
invite me to paint.
The tubes have color
dried in it.
Just like the way
imagination is stuck
inside me.
I squeezed it to see
if any of it can be
taken out.
The brushes I used
long ago
have the fibers turned
into dust.
The palette had colors
dried up
like colorful rocks
the canvas was left the
way it was
only to have its white
turned to ivory
life turned into death.
