For the Unknown and the Unkind

For the unknown and the unkind…

I was being pulled into you
like a man who went overboard
into a whirlpool.
You sucked me inside
to feel your warmth
and safety.
I wished to stay forever
I wished to sing.
I wished to be marooned
and
I wished to be alone.
The more I felt stranded,
the more the world beckoned.
I threw away my false skin
and mingled with them.

  1. I sincerely like this. It sounds like something I would say whenever I get depressed from too much materialistic routine in my life. Haha

Thank you for linking back to my humble short story as well. :)
